Kenzo Estate’s homage to the merlot-influenced Bordeaux blends of the great producers of France’s “Right Bank”- wines that are accessible, alluring and ample. Meaning “Purple”, Murasaki is a robust blend of precisely selected Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Within the vineyard, certain blocks distinguish themselves each year by producing profound fruit. As the barrels are sampled during aging, confidence in the quality of the wines grows. And when it is time to rack them prior to bottling the final selection is made to balance one wine with another, eventually arriving at a blend whose core strength derives from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
