murasaki

A high quality Bordeaux representing nobility and elegance.

Kenzo Estate’s homage to the merlot-influenced Bordeaux blends of the great producers of Bordeaux’s “Right Bank”- wines that are accessible, alluring, and ample. Meaning “Purple”, ‘murasaki’ is a robust blend of meticulously selected Merlot supported by other varietals. Within the vineyard, certain blocks distinguish themselves each year by producing profound fruit. As the barrels are sampled during aging, confidence in the quality of the wines grows. And when it is time to rack them prior to bottling the final selection is made to balance one wine with another, eventually arriving at a blend whose core strength derives from Merlot.
